"Taipei Card," a multi-functional smart card, has been issued now! To promote government services, different departments of Taipei City Government have issued various cards. To provide an easy-to-use integrated ID identifier and to allow citizens to take advantage of the public services. Taipei City Government now issues an all-in-one "Taipei Card" that includes the function of EasyCard. Citizens of Taipei City can utilize "Taipei Card" for government services as well as for access to cloud computing services that the City Government is currently promoting.
"The Second Generation Wellness Card Reward Points Program" offered by Department of Health is Taipei Card's first public service that focuses on 6 major health screening services (child development screening, preschool health screening, cancer screening, tuberculosis screening, depression screening, and Dementia screening) and offer monetary compensation for points in order to promote health and to encourage citizens to participate screenings. Taipei City citizens and their new immigrant spouses are all eligible for "The Second Generation Wellness Card Reward Points Program". Holders of Taipei Card can earn reward points by participating screenings from April 30 to November 30, 2013 and redeem the reward points for monetary compensation. In addition, Department of Health also plans to upload screening data onto city government health cloud, so that with the help of "The Second Generation Wellness Card Reward Points Program," citizens will have access to their screening data and will be able to conduct self-management. With monetary compensation and health cloud computing, the Taipei City Government aims to encourage health screenings, reinforce self-management, and ensure public health.
3 Steps to Redeem Reward Points for EasyCard
Step 1: Applying for "Taipei Card"
Taipei City citizens and their new immigrant are eligible to apply for Taipei Card with their EasyCard and ID documents via internet, mail, or in Taipei City 12 District Health Center and Taipei City Hospital branches.
Mid-income, low-income, indigenous, and preschool 0-6 year-old Taipei City citizens can apply for Taipei Card with ID documents for free via internet or mail from Department of Health.
Step 2: Participating Health Screenings
From April 30 to November 30, 2013, citizens of Taipei City can go to 12 District Health Center, Taipei City Hospital branches, designated healthcare facilities and Taipei City Mental Health Center to participate health screenings and earn reward points for The Second Generation Wellness Card.
Step 3: Redeeming Reward Points for EasyCard
"The Second Generation Wellness Card Reward Points Program" can be redeemed for EasyCard points; 1 point equals $1 NTD. Period for redeeming is October 1, 2013 to December 10, 2013.
