Taipei City Government has announced that “the front square and areas around the second entrance of Taipei Children’s Amusement Park” and “sidewalks around Muzha Vocational High School” are set to be smoking-free areas as of August 1, 2015.

In order to protect children and general public’s right to health and to establish a smoke-free environment, Department of Health, Taipei City Government has announced that “the front square and areas around the second entrance of Taipei Children’s Amusement Park”, and “sidewalks around Muzha Vocational High School” are set to be smoking-free areas as of August 1, 2015, based on Article 15, Paragraph 1, No. 13 of Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. According to Article 31, Paragraph 1 of the same act above, violators will be fined from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000.
