Department of Health

You’ve got it. Your eyes do! Eye Care + Hiking Passport in Taipei City protects your eyes and empower your legs.

To encourage parents to join in outdoor activities with their children, the Department of Health of Taipei City Government is collaborating with the Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Taipei City Public Works Department to plan 12 “Hiking Trails for Healthy Eyes.” They have installed “Eye Care Stamp Points” and published the “Taipei City Eye Care and Hiking Passport” to encourage people go outdoors and work out. In addition, the summer holiday was the peak season of both using 3C products and of visual problems. The Department of Health and Department of Education of Taipei City have presented the “My Eyes’ Care Summer Vacation Painting Contest” to promote eye care through a painting contest. To encourage schoolchildren to go outdoors, we have encouraged them to sign up for the “most awesome summer vacation outdoor eye-protection activity.” At the same time, to update the change of school children’s visions conditions, we will provide the second wave with free professional eye tests starting from July 1 to October 31, 2018. For parents with children attending grades 2, 3, and 4 in Taipei City, remember to take your children and bring your “Eye Care Passport” to the contracted eye clinics and hospitals to receive a free professional eye test.
