The Department of Health, Taipei City Government, in its commitment to safeguarding citizens' health and fostering a smoke-free outdoor environment, hereby designates the following areas as non-smoking areas:

• Effective August 1, 2026: The commercial district surrounding Xinzhongshan Linear Park and the Dihua Street commercial district are designated as areas where smoking is prohibited except in designated smoking areas. Where no designated smoking area is provided, smoking is completely prohibited.
• Effective August 10, 2026: The “Gouzikou” bus stop for westbound services and the “Yongjian Elementary School” bus stop for eastbound services on Section 1, Muzha Road, Wenshan District, together with the sidewalks surrounding both bus stops, are designated as areas where smoking is completely prohibited.
• Effective August 17, 2026: The outdoor areas belonging to the Taipei Taiwan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the surrounding sidewalks are designated as areas where smoking is completely prohibited.

This designation is made in accordance with Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of Article 19 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.

Violators will be subject to a fine ranging from NTD 2,000 to NTD 10,000, as stipulated in Paragraph 2 of Article 40 of the aforementioned Act.
