2016 World Heart Day Health Education Carnival: “Towards a Healthy Heart”

To increase public awareness of cardiovascular diseases, Department of Health, Taipei City Government, together with Taiwan Heart Foundation, on October 2, 2016 (Thursday) 2pm to 4:30pm, has held the “Towards a Healthy Heart” carnival at Xinyi District’s Chianti Avenue Plaza to mark the 2016 World Heart Day. The theme focuses on the various risk factors that endanger cardiovascular health. Interesting health educational games were also organized to promote the concepts of the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. More than a thousand people participated in the event, where the correct concepts of the prevention and treatment of heart disease were promoted through educational and entertaining activities, thereby helping people to reduce the chances of developing heart diseases.
