Taipei City Government announced smoking is prohibited for sidewalks around Tamkang University, Taipei Campus from July 1st, 2017.
To build a smoke-free outdoor environment and to protect general public from passive smoking, the Department of Health, Taipei City Department had set the smoke-free sidewalks around Tamkang University, Taipei Campus (Address: No.5, Ln. 199, Jinhua St., Da’an Dist., Taipei City) from July 1, 2017 based on Article 15, Paragraph 1, No. 13 of Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. According to Article 31, Paragraph 1, violators will be fined from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000.
