In order to protect citizens’ rights and interests in health and to build a non-smoking outdoor environment, we hereby announce in accordance with Article 16, paragraph 1, subparagraph 4 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act that no smoking shall be allowed in the “arcade and outdoor spaces of Huang Hsiang Zhongshan Building(皇翔中山大樓) (No. 62, Nanjing W. Rd., Datong Dist., Taipei City) starting October 1, 2021.” Any citizen in breach of the non-smoking rule shall be punished by a fine at an amount of no less than NTD 2,000 but no more than NTD 10,000 in accordance with Article 31, paragraph 1 of the same Act.
