Taipei City Government Has Listed 6 Outdoor Venues as Smoke-Free Starting from July 1, 2020
In order to protect the right to health of the general public from second-hand smoke and create an outdoor smoke-free environment, the Department of Health of Taipei City Government has listed the Neihu Restoration Park, the Shanshuilu Eco Park, the Fudekeng Environmental Restoration Park, the green area and its surroundings on Ln. 45, Wenzhou St., the outdoor area around the Exit 1 and 6 of MRT Ximen Station and the surrounding sidewalks of the Ren-Ai Elementary School as smoke-free venues in accordance with Subparagraph 4, Paragraph 1, Article 16 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act starting from July 1, 2020. Smokers who violate the rules will be fined for NT$2,000 to NT$10,000 in accordance with Paragraph 1, Article 31 of the Act. For detailed information, please visit our Chinese official website.
